COTOPAXI CLIMB 2 DAYS
Climbing Cotopaxi Volcano is a unique exiting experience. This adventure starts at the parking lot of Cotopaxi National Park with a hiking to the refuge.
The climb begins at night time so that when you reach the summit, you can watch the sunrise, having spectacular views of Quito to the north, Tungurahua & Chimborazo to the south. The climbing departs from Jose Rivas refugee and the day before the climb you have a trek to the refuge, with a glacier practice (depends on weather).
CHIMBORAZO CLIMBING 2 DAYS
Chimborazo volcano is located at 150km southwest from Ecuador’s capital city, is the highest mountain of both the country and the Andes, having an elevation of 6310m. Its summit rises 2500m above the surrounding highlands with a 20km wide base.
Reaching the top takes from 7 till 9 hours, making the descent from 2 from 3 hours, including a glacier school training session, dinner and a night at the refugee.
*Volcano Cayambe is the 3rd highest volcano in Ecuador (5790m´ high). It is locatedin theCayambe - Coca Ecological Reserve in the Cordillera Oriental of the Andes, 70´ North east of Quito. At the altitude of 4,690m` on its south slope, is the highest point in the world crossed by the Equator and the only point on the Equator with snow cover.
